very nice thomas i like the rolled edges on the tank as well. i have always enjoyed simple set ups and you did a very good job on the skimmer and filter. very pleasing to look at.
>thank you for your nice words, MOD.
one thing i dont quite like is the green hose running across, was thought of having a pipe installed vertically from the powerhead, but ive to make do with this due to lack of material to support my plan.
>truthfully i dont think the hose looks bad plus installing a vertical pipe in there you will have 2-3 90 degree angles and you will lose considerable flow rate. get on youtube and look up diy aquarium back grounds. the ones with foam and concrete mix look amazing plus it is very simple to do. then you could hide the hose behind that. when i get home from work i will find a couple links and send them to you if you have trouble finding what im talking about.
with a tank that size though one of these background should be very easy and will look great.
>Looks great!, Thomas.
I agree with Jeffers, 2-3 90 degree angles will do lose much flow rate, that pump is a bit small.
In order to installed what you say I think you should to change the pump for other bigger.
You have given me an idea for my marine tank, Thanks
>uncle, nice DIY.. DIYLEADS on christmas ar?? haha..

You have given me an idea for my marine tank, Thanks yes, im aware the flowrate will drop because of bent/s. both MODs Jeffers and quino69 please watch the video again, the other end of the green pipe(top part), theres a small piece of white styrofoam in the pipe. thats is meant for slowing down the water...hahaha
mine is a very small tank, about 13 litre only. and this powerhead is rated 200L/HR which is really an overkill. in fact, ive been looking for a smaller one to replace it for long time but no avail.
please post your masterpiece when done.

>your best bet for finding a smaller pump would be ones that go into small waterfalls. some go about 50gph but then going across the tank i think you would loose alot of it so i would try for 150gph to be right. exoterra has some waterfalls with a pump that would be right as well as the tetra reptofilter waterfall its pump is a 90gph.
basically look for reptile aquarium stuff as they are usually made smaller pumps as most reptile/turtle tanks arent filled all the way with water. even the internal filter with pump might also achieve what you want
here is an example i cant really tell what its gph is but you could set that up and and run it to your filter. or even take the pump out of it to just run that if its possible.
here is another on amazon then it shows lots of links to other mini pumps then just find the ones that will work for you. most are any where from $10-$40.
but before you do that remember its so much better to have overkill filtration than underkill. all the overkill will do is keep your water in better condition. i would personally open it all the way up and let it ride.
>ya.. spell wrong.. lol.. burn too much midnight oil liao..
